Duck Dynasty dope Phil Robertson has proven thus far that he is not to be trusted when it comes to promises (or threats) he makes to the American public, but his latest career idea has all of us shaking in our collective boots – with fear or laughter, we can’t be sure.
Robertson, who just a couple of weeks ago said that he would consider disappearing forever if Trump isn’t elected president, now says that if things don’t get better, he might just have to run for the presidency himself!
Now, Robertson didn’t frame his threat to run joyfully – he seemed begrudgingly willing to take on the mantle of leading the nation back to Godliness, but warned those who might elect him that it wouldn’t be an easy road.
“I can’t tell you how to vote,” he said, but “if they keep fooling around long enough, they’re going to force me to run. If you want to see a change in America, get me in there, dude, and there will be a big change then, if you all are ready for it.”
Y’know, Ducky, we liked you better when you didn’t want anything to do with the Godless guv’ment.
