Wow, establishment Democrats and their lapdogs in corporate media have really been laying on the Cold War encouragements lately!

Ever since the DNC hack, corporate media has been enamored by the possibility of a real live Russian hack, focusing on whether or not America’s adversary played a part in the hack which led to an upheaval in Democratic leadership. Bizarrely, they seemed more interested in who had done the hack rather than the contents of the thousands of emails.

Now, those same actors are setting up the U.S. for more contention with Russia by openly suggesting that the nation might take an active role in rigging the election. With almost no evidence to back up their claims, it is being said that Russia as a whole may be conspiring to rig the American election in a way they deem fit.

The FBI declared a nationwide alert this week to all voting locations to closely monitor their election offices for signs of a breach after Illinois and Arizona voting officers were compromised. Though no one can identify who was behind the hack, the popular Russian conspiracy is only too convenient.

If the Democratic narrative is to be believed, that would mean rigging the election in favor of Trump. However, don’t think for a second that Trump won’t use these same headlines in November if and when he loses. He has already used the term “rigged” many times and said that if he loses, he is sure it won’t be due to the legitimate vote.

In this way, Democrats are playing a dangerous game. Historically, it has been Republicans that openly antagonize and damage relations with adversarial nations, not Democrats. This may help them out in the short term, but is it really worth the lasting damage these allegations will have on foreign relations?

And how will Democrats answer when Trump cries “rigged,” after they have spent so many months feeding that same narrative?
