Becoming Much More Likely That Biden Will Enter Presidential Race

There is increased likelihood that Vice President Joe Biden will announce his candidacy for the 2016 presidential race, reported The Hill. A Biden campaign will add an entirely new dynamic to the already-anomalous Democratic race. Before Biden announces, reports say he “is weighing multiple political, financial, and family considerations before making a final decision.” Officials close to Biden provided some context to the growing rumors that Biden will make a run in 2016. “The vice president has not made a decision about his political future,” said Biden’s Press Secretary Kendra Barkoff. “Anyone speculating that he has made a decision...

The Florida state Supreme Court recently ruled against state Republican gerrymandering and ordered the Florida state legislature to redraw congressional districts. There’s one problem, however. Televangelist Pat Robertson thinks God is waving his magic wand to make the stock market take a dive. The logical world would agree that’s not how it works. Robertson stated that God is angry at Obama for supporting Planned Parenthood, and he is making the market dip because of it. “We will pay dearly as a nation for this thing going on,” said Robertson. “And possibly if we were to stop all this slaughter the judgment of God might be lifted from us. But it’s coming, ladies and gentlemen. We just had a little taste of it in terms...

Those Organic Fruits and Vegetables You Pay So Much For: Might Be Irrigated With Fracking Water

Due to a loophole in the US Department of Agriculture’s organics standards, which bans pesticides and petroleum-based fertilizers, organic produce could still be irrigated with fracking waste-water, reported Mother Jones. In 2014, oil companies provided half of the water used for 45,000 acres of farmland in the Cawelo Water District in Kern County, California. Some of that farmland is owned by Sunview, which sells organic grapes and raisins. This arrangement between the district and oil companies has some people concerned if organic produce is being irrigated with fracking waste-water.   “The USDA organic regulations do not directly address the use...
