Be Very, Very Angry: This Is How Much Big Pharma is Gouging Us

Earlier this week, Congress once again made it abundantly clear they don’t give a damn about their constituents as they continue to serve the interests of Big Business and Corporate America – in this particular case, the pharmaceutical industry. The latest betrayal – an amendment that would have lowered drug prices across the board. That amendment was defeated by the GOP, aided and abetted by traitors in the Democratic Party. Thus, the price gouging will continue…and here are some examples of just how much these drug makers are gouging us. Starting out on our list of the Top Ten...

The “Diesel Dupe” Scandal: Corporate Felon VW Pleads Guilty, and Six More Executives Face Charges

Yesterday, corporate “person” Volkswagen entered a guilty plea to several criminal charges, including violations of the Clean Air Act and customs regulations as well as obstruction of justice. More significantly, six of the natural human executives have been taken into custody and are also facing felony charges. This marks a radical change for an Administration that has been drawing criticism for being “soft” on corporate crime. Most of the time, corporate people simply buy their way out of trouble by making deferred prosecution deals and paying a relatively small fine – and they virtually never have to admit to...

Get Ready: Obama Handed The Keys To The Propaganda Machine Over to Trump Three Years Ago

Virtually every nation on the planet has some type of propaganda machine – even the U.S. However, until 2013, U.S. propaganda was aimed exclusively at overseas audiences while domestic dissemination of propaganda was prohibited by law. Since then, thanks to a little provision slipped into the 2013 Defense Appropriations Bill by Congress, the federal government’s propaganda agencies (and there are several) can now legally broadcast to domestic audiences. The law that was repealed was the U.S. Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948, better known as the Smith-Mundt Act. It was passed as part of the transition from wartime...

The “Declassified” FBI-CIA Report on “Assessing Russian Activities” Makes it Clear that Criticism of U.S. Is Treason

The “declassified” version of the Intelligence Community’s “assessment” of “Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections” – might have been described by Shakespeare as “a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury…signifying nothing.” It (take note) contains conclusions that “are identical to those in the highly classified assessment,” but “does not include the full supporting information on key elements of the influence campaign.” It does, however include lots of nifty graphics, charts and bullet points. However, if you are looking for substantive evidence, keep looking. Interestingly, while the document still fails to provide any irrefutable...

The Volkswagen “Diesel Dupe” Saga Continues: FBI Arrests Second VW Executive

One of the big stories of 2015 was the infamous Volkswagen “diesel dupe,” the covert installation of a device designed to “cheat” emissions tests by engaging pollution controls only under test conditions while disengaging them during normal driving. The reason: pollution controls reduce engine power and performance. The scandal led to a full on criminal investigation in the U.S. by federal authorities, resulting in two arrests so far. The most recent of which was Oliver Schmidt, head of VW’s U.S. regulatory compliance office who was arrested over the weekend. Schmidt, a German national, was the executive in charge of...
