While the average American knows about the detrimental effects of oil pipeline spills and offshore drilling disasters, it is time that another pressing environmentally disastrous product be brought to the forefront: coal ash. Coal ash, a byproduct of the process of using coal to generate electricity, is produced in power plants across the country.
