Seth Meyers Issues Stern Condemnation of Trump’s White Nationalist Failings

It took more than two days for the President of the United States to condemn a white nationalist rally that resulted in the murder of one counter-protester. Two days. Though President Trump sought to correct the narrative on Monday by issuing a stern condemnation of “the KKK, Neo-Nazis, and White Nationalists,” his deafening silence preceding that belated statement is still being heard and felt nationwide. On Monday evening, NBC late-night host Seth Meyers commented on that silence with a stern statement – not good enough.   It still stuns me that a late-night host is making statements like this...

CEOs Drop Out of Trump’s Advisory Council in Droves

This week, a number of high-level CEO’s have quietly stepped down from President Trump’s advisory counsel after he failed to condemn white supremacy in the hours after the Charlottesville protests. Trump Finally Condemns “KKK, Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists”

On Monday, two days after the horrific rallies and terrorist attack in Charlottesville, Virginia, President Donald Trump finally condemned those involved and called out the violent ideologies responsible by name. Speaking from one of the few portions of the White House not undergoing renovation, the President addressed the nation and read a telepromtered statement. Despite his frequent vitriolic language used against political enemies, the President read the statement calmly, staring directly into the camera. “Racism is evil — and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups...

Charlottesville Attack Rockets Growing White Supremacy Issue to Top of American Conscience

If there is any small silver lining in the weekend’s hateful, tragic event in Charlottesville, Virginia, it is that America can no longer pretend not to understand just how nefarious and dangerous the growing white supremacy movement has become in the era of Trump. No longer can “sensible” Americans pretend not to see this daunting issue, nor can pundits focus on “economic anxiety” to explain an alt-right vote. Elected officials can no longer pretend as if the group of those who believe in racial division and dominance are nonexistant, and the President’s refusal to call out white supremacy by...
