Monsanto’s Roundup is the most widely used weed killer in the world, but a key ingredient in the chemical makeup is under fire once again for its link to cancer. Back in 2015, the World Health Organization determined that glyphosate, the main chemical in Roundup, probably causes cancer, even though the Environmental Protection Agency had deemed it safe. Unsealed court documents have been released that reveal emails between Monsanto and officials at the Environmental Protection Agency showing the two groups working together to draft reports saying that RoundUp’s active ingredient glyphosate does not cause cancer.
